Anxiety check: the 2-minute screen clinicians actually use
This is the GAD-7, a public domain screening tool used in real clinical practice, not a quiz we invented to funnel you somewhere. Seven questions about the last two weeks, scored in your browser, never sent anywhere, no email asked. A score is not a diagnosis. It is a number worth knowing.
Question 1 of 7
Over the last two weeks, how often have you been bothered by:
Feeling nervous, anxious, or on edge
What this score can—and cannot—tell you
The GAD-7 was developed as a brief way to screen for generalized anxiety symptoms and describe their severity. In its original validation study, higher scores were associated with greater difficulty in daily functioning.
Screening is not diagnosis. A 2025 diagnostic review found that accuracy varies across people and settings. That is why this page reports the score plainly, does not label you with a condition, and recommends professional follow-up when the result or your symptoms concern you.
The GAD-7 was developed by Drs. Spitzer, Kroenke, Williams, and colleagues and is in the public domain. This check is a screening reflection, not a diagnosis, and sokoon is AI support for adults 18 and over, not therapy. If your score worries you, a licensed professional is the right reader for it.
